獲得PDU有以下五種方式，下面逐一介紹，為各位PMP做參考。  

       Category 1: Academic coursework/
　　PDUs may be earned by completing an academic course after PMP certification. Courses must be offered for degree credit and be related to project management.
1 College semester hour equals 15 PDUs
　　2. College credit hour (quarter system) equals 10 PDUs
　　
　　第一類：院校的項目管理課程

　　取得PMP認證后，完成大學課程可以獲得PDU。前提要求是與項目管理相關的學位課程。
　　1． 大學的學時相當于15個PDU
　　2． 大學的學分 (每季度) 相當于10個PDU
　　Category 2: Self-directed Learning or Professional Activities/
　　A maximum of 15 PDUs per CCR cycle can be earned through self-directed learning. A predetermined number of PDUs may be earned by participating in 8 specified kinds of professional activities. 　第二類：自學或者專業活動
　　通過自學最多可以獲得15個PDU，通過參加8種規定的專業活動可以獲得特定的PDU。

　　Category 3: PMI REP Programs
　　PDUs may be earned by attending educational programs offered by
educational organizations registered with PMI and designated as PMI Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s).
　　Examples include: Schools, consultants, corporate training departments, professional associations, government agencies, and PMI Chapters and SIGs. A database of R.E.P.s and the programs they offer is posted on the PMI website. Programs may be searched according to subject area, location, date and time.

　　第三類：注冊教育提供者提供的培訓

　　參加PMI注冊教育提供者（包括學校、咨詢公司、公司培訓部門、行業協會或政府機構、PMI分會、特別利益組織）提供的相關培訓可獲得PDU。PMI網站公布了注冊教育提供者的名單和培訓課程。培訓課程可以通過主題、地點、日期和時間來搜索。

　　Category 4: Non REP Programs/
　　PDUs may be earned by attending relevant educational programs offered by organizations not registered with PMI like Schools, consultants, corporate training departments, professional associations, or government agencies which is not registered as PMI's REP

　　第四類：非PMI注冊教育提供者提供的教育活動

　　參加非PMI注冊教育提供者（包括學校、咨詢公司、公司培訓部門、行業協會或政府機構）提供的相關培訓可獲得PDU。
　　Category 5: Professional Service/
　　20 PDUs (max) may be earned by providing non-compensated project management services to non-employer or non-client customer groups

　　第五類：義務的專業服務

　　義務向除員工或客戶以外的群體提供項目管理專業服務最多可獲得20個PDU。

取得PMP證書后，所有PMP必須滿足PMI制定的專業發展計劃的要求，以保持其資格的有效性。
為維持PMP證書，每位PMP必須每三年提供至少60個專業發展單位（PDUs）并愿意繼續尊守PMI的職業行為標準。

參加專業活動可以獲得PDU的規定如下：

1. 撰寫或與他人合著項目管理文章并在指定的刊物（如《項目經理人》等學術媒體）上發表：15PDU/篇（著者），10PDU/篇（合著）；
2. 撰寫或與他人合著項目管理文章并在非公開發行的專業刊物上發表：10PDU/篇；
3. 在會議、座談會、研討會或正式的培訓上作項目管理專題演講：10PDU/次；
4. 在PMI成員會議上作項目管理專題演講：5 PDU/次；
5. 在項目經理俱樂部活動、會議、座談會、研討會及正式課程中擔任項目管理專家研討組成員：5 PDU/次；
6. 撰寫或與他人合著項目管理方面的專著：20PDU/篇（著者），10PDU/篇（合著）；
7. 開發新的項目管理教學課程或其他結構化學習課程方案：10PDU/課程；
8. 每年從事項目管理實踐工作超過1500小時：5 PDU/年（每個CCR周期(三年一審)最多15PDU）。
